Wide Open Agriculture Says Univar Solutions China Places Initial Order for Lupin Protein Product, Shares Jump 19%

Wide Open Agriculture (ASX:WOA) said Univar Solutions China placed an initial five-tonne order of the firm's lupin protein after an initial six-month period of market development, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The order is to be delivered before Feb. 28, 2026, to support product launch activities, further research and development, as well as pilot production runs in beverages, with an initial emphasis on the bubble tea market. Pricing for the order was agreed under the Univar distribution agreement for the firm's lupin protein.

Univar will visit Wide Open Agriculture's head office and research and development facility in Western Australia to progress product formulation, processing, and supply planning.

The firm's shares jumped almost 19% in recent trading on Wednesday.
