China Starch to Vote Oct. 9 on Construction Contract

Shareholders of China Starch (HKG:3838) will meet Oct. 9 to vote on the proposed procurement of Juneng Construction by unit Linqing Deneng Golden Corn Bio for a new facility in Shandong Province for 80 million yuan, a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

The contractor will provide services including building construction, as well as the installation of supporting systems for water, electricity, and heating, forming part of the group's cornstarch production project.

The parties first entered into an agreement regarding the construction project in May.
