European Airlines Stocks Fall After Cancellations Due to Airport Cyberattacks -- Market Talk

0736 GMT - European airlines lost ground in early morning trade Monday after a series of cyberattacks against some of Europe's main airports forced flight cancellations. International Consolidated Airlines Group--which brings together British Airways and Iberia among others--falls 1.3%, while Deutsche Lufthansa loses 1.2% and Air France-KLM drops 0.7%. Among the low-cost carriers, EasyJet loses 1.6%, Wizz Air drops 1.3% and Ryanair falls 1.1%. German travel operator TUI is down 1.5%. The cyberattacks, which took place Friday, disrupted check-in and boarding systems at London's Heathrow airport, Berlin Brandenburg Airport and Brussels Airport.
