S2 Resources (ASX:S2R) said exploration is underway at its Warraweena project in Australia, with drilling of selected gold and base metal targets scheduled to start in two to three weeks, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The company added that a follow-up gravity survey is now underway to extend existing coverage and finesse drill targets and has applied for a small exploration license on open ground previously excised from within its existing tenure.

According to the filing, significant alteration and highly anomalous gold and base metals identified in two historic holes drilled within the area of interest provide proof of concept.
