Williams-Sonoma $(WSM)$, Wayfair (W), Restoration Hardware $(RH)$: Shares of furniture and home-goods retailers fell in off-hours trading after President Trump announced tariffs on imported items such as kitchen cabinets and upholstered furniture.
Sumitomo Pharma (JP:4506), Otsuka (JP:4578), CSL (AU:CSL): Shares of overseas pharmaceutical companies with exposure to the U.S. fell after Trump set out new tariffs on branded and patented drugs.
Daimler Truck (XE:DTG), Traton (XE:8TRA): Shares of the commercial-vehicle makers fell after Trump announced a 25% tariff on heavy truck imports. Both German companies use plants in Mexico to produce for the U.S. The levies are due to kick in on Wednesday.
Intel $(INTC)$: Shares of the embattled chip company rose premarket, putting them on track for a fourth day of gains. CEO Lip-Bu-Tan has approached Apple, TSMC and other companies about investments or manufacturing partnerships, according to recent reports.
Concentrix $(CNXC)$: The customer-experience company lowered its annual profit outlook, prompting its shares to shed more than a fifth of their value in premarket trading.
Costco Wholesale $(COST)$: The warehouse retailer posted higher sales and profit last quarter, but same-store sales growth missed Wall Street estimates.
