BYD (SHE:002594, HKG:1211) saw its market share in Europe more than double in August from a year earlier, according to data released by European auto lobby ACEA Thursday.
The Chinese auto manufacturer sold 9,130 units in August, up 201.3% year-on-year and giving it a market share of 1.3% as compared to 0.5% in August 2024.
In the first eight months of the year, BYD sold 67,632 units, up 244% year-on-year. The company's market share rose from 0.3% to 0.9% during the period, figures showed.
