0736 ET - Tripadvisor's reliance on search to generate traffic means that it will struggle from the shift to AI searches, say Mizuho analysts, who launch coverage on the stock with an underperform rating. "Tripadvisor's exposure to organic search as a percent of its browser traffic is more than 2x the exposure of the next-highest ranked online travel company by that measure in our coverage," the analysts say. Tripadvisor saw a 33% year-over-year decline in SEO traffic in July, according to Mizuho. "We see significant renewed pressure on organic search traffic in Similar Web data near-term and expect this to be a long-term problem," the analysts say. (nicholas.miller@wsj.com)
