Entero Therapeutics Inc. $(ENTO)$ announced that it has acquired 100% of GRID AI Corp, a grid-edge, AI-driven software and device platform designed to help utilities, retailers, and large power users dynamically manage load and distributed energy resources. Following the completion of the transaction, former shareholders of GRID AI will own approximately 82.5% of ENTO's fully diluted common stock, while existing ENTO shareholders will retain around 17.5%. As part of the agreement, former GRID AI shareholders will designate two directors to ENTO's board, with the right to appoint additional directors upon full implementation, ultimately holding five of seven board seats. ENTO stated that the acquisition will expand its reach into the high-growth AI energy-infrastructure market and diversify its portfolio into critical infrastructure software, including energy flexibility and virtual power plants.
