广州市纪委监委近日公开通报五起违反中央八项规定精神典型问题 。

其中包括：黄埔区政府原区长李红卫违规接受宴请、收受礼品礼金问题。

2015年至2018年，李红卫多次接受某私营企业主为其安排的生日宴请，并在生日宴请时收受所送礼金共计8万元，以及爱马仕牌领带、围巾、钱包等高档礼品。李红卫还存在其他严重违纪违法问题，被开除党籍，涉嫌犯罪问题被移送检察机关依法审查起诉。

公开简历显示，李红卫出生于1966年11月，江苏省淮安市人，理学博士学位。

李红卫曾任广州萝岗区区长等职。2014年，黄埔区、萝岗区两区合并，设立新的黄埔区，李红卫任黄埔区区长。2016年，他转任广州市政府副秘书长，2020年卸任。

2024年9月30日消息，李红卫被查。
