Cleanaway Waste Management Ltd. and Viva Energy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore the production of low-carbon liquid fuels and products in Australia. Under the agreement, used cooking oil collected and processed at Cleanaway's Laverton facility will be supplied to Viva Energy's Geelong refinery. The initiative aims to manufacture renewable diesel blends and bio-circular polymers, supporting efforts to reduce emissions in hard-to-abate transport sectors. The collaboration is aligned with national strategies to promote low-carbon fuel production, reduce reliance on imported materials, and support local industry and employment.
