Chorus (NZE:CNU, ASX:CNU) said that in its fiber areas, total fiber broadband connections rose 7,000 lines to 1.1 million connections in the first quarter ended Sept. 30, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
This offsets a decline of 4,000 copper broadband lines, per the filing.
The telecommunications company said it has 9,000 copper lines in service, with full withdrawal expected by mid-fiscal 2026.
