Benz Mining (ASX:BNZ) found high-grade gold mineralization during a recent drilling at its Glenburgh Gold Project's Zone 126 prospect in Western Australia, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The results were up to 79 meters at 4.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 534 meters, per the filing.
The company said this is the thickest high-grade hit to date at Glenburgh.
The company added that lenses 1 to 4 of the prospect all remain open at depth, highlighting a significant opportunity to add further high-grade ounces.
The company has established performance right milestones, with performance rights packages structured around resource growth targets, including a group resource growth target of 2 million ounces of gold as milestone 1, 4 million ounces of gold as milestone 2, and 6 million ounces of gold as milestone 3.
The company's shares rose 18% in recent Tuesday trade.
