0900 GMT - European defense stocks rise in European morning trade after plans for a face-to-face meeting to discuss the war in Ukraine between President Trump and its Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin were put on hold. "I don't want to have a wasted meeting. I don't want to have a waste of time til I'll see what happens," Trump said Tuesday. Shares in Germany's Rheinmetall and France's Thales rise 2.7% and 2.2% respectively. Italy's Leonardo and France's Dassault Aviation advance more than 2.5%. BAE Systems moves up 2.7%. Smaller companies Saab, Hensoldt, Indra, Renk Group and Babcock International also trade higher.(maitane.sardon@wsj.com)
