Cocoon (HKG:0428) said it was informed of a winding-up petition against the company filed by an individual who claims to be a creditor, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Thursday.
Shares of the securities company fell nearly 5% in morning trade Friday.
Zhou Xin filed the petition in the High Court of Hong Kong over the alleged non-payment of principal and interest on a HK$11.1 million promissory bond, Cocoon said.
The petition is scheduled for hearing on Dec. 31, the firm said.
Cocoon said the petition had no material adverse impact on the business for the "time being," and that it was seeking a legal opinion on the matter.
