Shares of UniFirst declined after the uniform-rental firm's fiscal 2026 outlook trailed Wall Street expectations.
The Wilmington, Mass., uniform-rental firm on Wednesday said it logged earnings of $41 million, or $2.23 a share for the fiscal fourth quarter ended in August, down from $44.6 million, or $2.39 a share, a year earlier.
On average, analysts surveyed by FactSet had anticipated earnings of $2.07 a share.
Fourth-quarter revenue fell 4% to $614.4 million, topping the mean analyst estimate of $607 million.
UniFirst forecast earnings for the fiscal year ending next August in a range between $6.58 and $6.98 a share, well short of the Wall Street target of $8.57 a share. UniFirst forecast revenue between about $2.48 billion and $2.5 billion for the year. Analysts are looking for about $2.5 billion.
Shares of UniFirst slid 11% to $155 premarket.
