1027 GMT - Investor confidence in high-risk assets may be overdone, State Street Global Markets' Dwyfor Evans says. Speaking at the Asifma Asset Management Conference in Singapore, he notes that investors are buying U.S. equities while hedging dollar exposure and selling Treasuries. Evans, managing director and head of APAC macro strategy, expects U.S. inflation to increase gradually as prices of both imported and domestically produced goods rise, calling "3% the new 2%." This will matter to the Fed. If there are fewer rate cuts, the dollar may rebound, he adds. Given persistently high policy uncertainty, Evans cautions that current risk positioning may be excessively bullish. (jason.chau@wsj.com)
