ESun (HKG:0571) narrowed its attributable loss to HK$12.8 million for the year ended July 31 from HK$510.9 million a year prior, a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
Loss per share for the entertainment company fell to HK$0.007 in the period from HK$0.291 a year prior.
Turnover slid 33% to HK$779.6 million from HK$1.17 billion in the previous fiscal year amid a lower revenue from film and TV programs, as well as media and entertainment.
The narrower loss was due to the reversal of impairment of right-of-use assets and property, plant, and equipment; a lower depreciation of right-of-use assets and property, plant, and equipment; and a higher gain on the modification of leases.
