South32's (ASX:S32) alumina production at its Worsley and Brazil operations rose in the fiscal first quarter ended September, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company produced 934,000 tonnes of alumina at Worsley, up 10% from 850,000 tonnes produced in the year-earlier period. Alumina sales totaled 878,000 tonnes, up 7% from 824,000 tonnes a year earlier.
Brazil alumina production reached 354,000 tonnes, up 6% from 334,000 tonnes. Sales rose 2% to 332,000 tonnes from 326,000 tonnes.
The company maintained its fiscal 2026 production guidance across all operations, with Worsley alumina expected to produce 3.8 million tonnes and Brazil alumina 1.4 million tonnes.
South32's shares jumped 4% in recent Tuesday trade.
