Capital Estate (HKG:0193) posted a loss attributable to owners of HK$13.9 million for the year ended July 31, reversing the profit of HK$5.6 million a year earlier, according to an Oct. 24 Hong Kong bourse filing.
Shares of the hotel operator were up nearly 2% in Monday's late-morning trade.
Loss per share came in at HK$0.066, compared with earnings per share of HK$0.029 a year earlier.
The company recorded gross proceeds of HK$487.4 million for the year, up from HK$122.7 million. Gross proceeds came from sales of properties, consumer finance service, hotel operations, and sales of securities and other business segments.
