The ANZ-Roy Morgan Australian consumer confidence rose 1.8 points in the week of Oct. 20 to 26 to 85.8 points, driven by improving household confidence in their personal finances, ANZ reported Tuesday.
The four-week moving average decreased by 0.1 point to 84.5 points.
Weekly inflation expectations rose 0.1 point to 5.1%, and the current financial condition indicator for 12 months increased 4.3 points, while future financial conditions for the next 12 months rose 4.6 points.
Short-term economic confidence for the next 12 months improved 3 points, and medium-term economic confidence for the next five years fell 1.8 points.
The time to buy a major household item subindex declined by 1 point.
