Cygnus Metals Promotes COO to CEO; Shares Fall 4%

Cygnus Metals (ASX:CY5) said its Chief Operating Officer Nick Kwong will be promoted to chief executive, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

Kwong's previous positions include general manager of two gold mines at Maaden in Saudi Arabia and multiple senior roles within New Gold for 14 years, with his final role being director of technical services.

Kwong's promotion will take effect after Ernest Mast transitions to non-executive director from managing director on Dec. 12, the filing said.

The company's shares fell almost 4% in recent Monday trade.
