Boeing (BA) said Wednesday it expects to increase production of its 787 Dreamliner to 10 aircraft per month in 2026, following a planned ramp-up to eight per month by the end of this year, according to a FactSet transcript of the company's Q3 earnings conference call.

Boeing executives said Wednesday that the Commercial Airplanes division delivered 24 airplanes in Q3 and ended the quarter with 10 pre-2023 units in inventory, down five from the previous quarter. The remaining jets are expected to be delivered by 2026 in line with customer fleet schedules, according to the transcript.

Cheif Executive Kelly Ortberg said on the call that the move from eight to 10 jets per month will be "more challenging" due to ongoing seat certification bottlenecks and supplier constraints, though progress is being made.

Shares of Boeing were down 4% in recent trading on Wednesday.
