Yankuang Energy's (HKG:1171, SHA:600188) net profit attributable to the shareholders dropped 37% year on year to 2.29 billion yuan, or 0.23 yuan per share, in the third quarter, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing on Thursday.
The coal miner's Shanghai shares slipped less than 1% and Hong Kong shares fell less than 2%.
The attributable profit a year earlier was 3.61 billion yuan, or 0.36 yuan per share.
Operating income slipped 0.3% to 38.3 billion yuan from 38.4 billion yuan in the previous year.
