0850 GMT - Indonesia inflation likely remain contained in the near term, according to UOB economists in a research note. Headline inflation rose to 2.86% on year in October, driven food, personal care and service-related products, UOB notes. Transport deflation expected during year-end holidays in light of stable energy and fuel prices is likely to ease some price pressure, it says. Still, fiscal support programs may continue to exert upward pressure on select consumer segments, UOB says, as it maintains its inflation forecast of 2.2% this year well within Bank Indonesia's target range of 1.5% to 3.5%.
