BlueLinx Holdings Inc., a leading U.S. wholesale distributor of building products, has acquired Disdero Lumber Co., LLC, a specialty products distributor based in Clackamas, Oregon, from Tumac Lumber Company, Inc. Disdero, operating since 1953, is known for its premium specialty wood products used in high-end residential and commercial construction across nearly all 50 states. The transaction, valued at approximately $96 million with an estimated $8 million in tax benefits, was funded with cash on hand and is expected to be immediately accretive to earnings. BlueLinx plans to leverage its national distribution network to expand the reach of Disdero's specialty products and enhance its own specialty offerings, continuing its western expansion and strategic growth initiatives.
