GrainCorp (ASX:GNC) shares ended flat with a negative bias after the company reported total grain receivals of 2.4 million tonnes as at Nov. 3, according to a Monday statement.
The company said that winter harvest activity is winding down in Central Queensland, while it is in full swing in southern Queensland. Recent rainfall caused short-term delays, but operations have now picked up as growers seize on clear weather conditions.
The company expects activity to build steadily in the coming week across southern NSW and Victoria, although forecasted rain may temporarily slow progress in some areas.
