Nov 3 (Reuters) - Westlife Foodworld WEST.NS, which operates fast-food chain McDonald's MCD.N in West and South India, reported an adjusted loss in second-quarter on Monday on stiff competition from local eateries and cafes and soaring expenses.
The company posted a consolidated loss before exceptional items and tax of 158.5 million rupees ($1.80 million) in the quarter ended September 30.
It had reported a profit of about 7.1 million rupees in the year-ago quarter.
