Northrop Grumman Corporation has announced new scientific research results demonstrating advancements in its Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS). In recent live-fire tests at White Sands Missile Range, IBCS successfully integrated new weapons data links, enabling engagement of a Patriot missile using Lockheed Martin's RIG-360 prototype uplink. This achievement removes the dependency on the Patriot radar for communication with the interceptor, broadening the system's flexibility. The tests also showcased IBCS's ability to integrate with any networked sensor or effector, providing enhanced command and control across domains. These results have already been presented following the successful completion of the tests.
