Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) said it plans to launch two new community banking vans and four community banker sites to offer non-cash services, including opening accounts, loan applications, and general support with using online channels, according to a Tuesday statement.
The two new community banking vans will travel around Northland and Canterbury. A fourth van is slated to enter service in 2026, in an undisclosed region.
The bank is trialing four new sites across South Auckland, Christchurch, and Mosgiel as community banker sites.
It is also extending branch hours, with all branches to operate from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Its shares rose over 1% in recent trading on Tuesday on the New Zealand bourse.
