0349 GMT - UOB's 2026 earnings outlook likely sends divergent signals, RHB Research's Singapore Research team says in a note. On the one hand, the 2026 outlook suggests a modest operating backdrop ahead, the team notes. On the other hand, however, UOB's credit costs are expected to normalize, which should lead to a decent rebound in earnings, the team says. Overall, RHB Research cuts its forecasts for UOB's profit after tax and minority interests by 14% for 2025, 4% for 2026, and 4% for 2027, to partly reflect the bank's 3Q results missing expectations. It lowers the stock's target price to S$36.10 from S$38.80 with an unchanged neutral rating. Shares are 0.5% higher at S$34.0. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
