-- Spanish bank Santander has shortlisted two insiders to replace Mike Regnier, the outgoing chief executive of its U.K. arm, the Financial Times reports, citing unnamed sources.

-- The lender sees Mahesh Aditya, chief risk officer for the entire group, as the frontrunner for the post, the FT reports. The head of the U.K.'s retail and business bank, Enrique Alvarez Labiano, is also being considered.

-- Santander declined to comment to the FT.
