*ANGLO AMERICAN: Hong Kong-listed mining and metals company MMG's 1208.HK plan to buy Anglo American AAL.L's nickel business in Brazil could enable MMG to divert ferronickel from European markets and hurt European stainless steel production, EU antitrust regulators said on Tuesday.

* TESLA: Tesla's TSLA.O UK car sales halved year-over-year in October, data from research group New AutoMotive showed on Wednesday, echoing the steep falls the U.S. electric vehicle maker saw in other European countries.

* UNILEVER: Consumer goods group Unilever ULVR.L said on Tuesday it expects to complete the spin-off of its Magnum Ice Cream unit, after a delay because of the U.S. government shutdown, by December 6.

* OIL: Oil prices dipped on Wednesday amid a wider slump in financial markets and a strong U.S. dollar, while investors assessed the supply outlook.

* METALS: Shanghai copper eased for a fourth straight session on Wednesday, with futures hitting a more than one-week low, as a downward revision to Codelco's 2025 output target still pointed to higher supply next year.

* GOLD: Gold prices edged higher on Wednesday as bargain hunters stepped in after bullion dropped to a near one-week low in the previous session, while traders awaited U.S. private payroll data due this week for interest rate clues.

* FTSE 100: London's FTSE 100 closed slightly higher on Tuesday, bucking the downward trend seen across global markets as healthcare gains and sterling weakness provided crucial support.
