Beach Energy (ASX:BPT) said that the Waitsia Gas Plant in the Western Australia has achieved the Ready ForStart Up (RFSU) milestone, following the commissioning of all critical systems and components within the Plant, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

First sales gas export at the plant is expected within two weeks, and the company will aim to ramp up the plant's production rates to 250 terajoules per day, the filing said.

Shares of the company rose 2% in recent Friday trade.
