Hanison Construction (HKG:0896) widened its loss for the six months ended Sept. 30 to HK$274.6 million from HK$193.1 million in the year-ago period, a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.
Shares of the construction engineering company were up 1% in Wednesday afternoon trading.
Basic loss per share rose to HK$0.256 in the half year from HK$0.18 in the corresponding period of the last year.
Revenue fell to HK$770.8 million in the six months from HK$984.3 million a year prior.
The firm attributed the loss mainly to a loss on the disposal of hotel The Connaught and a net revaluation loss of properties held by the company and its joint ventures.
