Strickland Metals (ASX:STK) said assays from two extensional diamond drilling holes at the southern end of the Gradina deposit, part of the Rogozna base metals-gold project in Serbia, delivered the largest-ever intercept, with over 700 meters of continuous gold and zinc mineralization, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The intercept came in at 702.5 meters at 0.9 grams per tonne grade of gold and 0.6% grade of zinc from 274.1 meters. It also encountered an intercept of 365.8 meters at 1.5 g/t grade of gold and 0.9% zinc from 287.7 meters.
The mineralization encountered in these holes remains completely open along strike to the southeast.
Its shares jumped 11% in recent trading on Wednesday.
