Premier Inc. has partnered with MultiCare Health System, a 13-hospital network based in Tacoma, Washington, to implement the Stanson Health stewardship app. This collaboration aims to improve clinical efficiency by integrating real-time, patient-specific recommendations directly into the provider's ordering workflow. The app is designed to reduce unnecessary medication, lab, and imaging orders, thereby lowering costs and minimizing alert fatigue among clinicians. Initial results from the rollout have shown strong provider engagement, significant financial savings, and a positive impact on both hospital margins and patients' out-of-pocket costs. Building on this success, MultiCare plans to expand the use of the app to additional users and categories, including radiology.
