Regis Resources (ASX:RRL) said a review and an update of the mine plan for the Buckingham and Wellington pits at the Duketon gold project in Western Australia expanded ore reserves, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Probable ore reserves grew to 251,000 ounces, extending the life and value of the operations, the filing said. The updated mine plan is expected to deliver 223,000 ounces of recovered gold over six years.
The company expects first ore at the operations in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 and consistent production to the end of fiscal 2031, the filing added.
Shares of the company rose 5% in recent Thursday trade and earlier hit a 52-week high.
