Logitech International said an unauthorized third party recently managed to obtain internal data from its IT systems.

The technology company said Friday the parties responsible for the data breach exploited a zero-day vulnerability in an outside software platform to copy data from its internal IT system.

The data included information on customers, suppliers, and employees, Logitech said, adding that it does not believe the affected system included any sensitive personal information. It did not say when the breach occurred.

The company said it had engaged external cybersecurity firms to lead an investigation into the incident.

The breach will not have any material effect on Logitech's finances or operations, the company said. It said it expects the costs of the investigation, along with any regulatory fines or other costs, will be covered by the company's cybersecurity insurance.
