China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited has announced a new investment of approximately US$530 million in a mining project in Luanshya, Zambia. The project involves the development of resource extraction in the Southern Superficial Part of Muliashi and Mashiba sections, as well as a sulfide ore resource development project for Shaft No. 28. With a planned construction period of two years and a total mine life of 17 years, the initiative aims to expand the company's production capacity, increase copper reserves, and ensure a stable supply of copper concentrate for its Chambishi copper smelter. The project is also expected to generate significant employment opportunities and boost local economic development.
