Southern Cross Gold (ASX:SX2) said drilling at the Golden Dyke prospect within its Sunday Creek gold-antimony project in Victoria delivered a record gold grade of 986 grams per tonne (g/t) and 416 g/t, showing "exceptional" grade potential, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Drilling yielded 9.2 meters at 34.6 g/t grade of gold equivalent and also confirmed that the prospect is a robust, high-grade system, the filing said.
Shares of the company fell nearly 2% in recent Tuesday trade.
