Auckland International Airport (NZE:AIA, ASX:AIA) recorded 1.6 million passenger movements in October, up 2% year on year, according to a Monday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.

Total passenger movements for the financial year to date reached 6.2 million in October, marking a 2% year-on-year increase, per the filing.

Total international passengers rose 2% to 875,870, the filing said.

Excluding transits, international passenger movements increased by 3%, while international seat capacity rose 5%, resulting in average load factors of 84%, a 2.6 percentage-point decline year on year, the filing added.

Domestic passengers increased 1% to 732,521.
