Robex Resources (ASX:RXR) started commissioning at the Kiniéro gold project in Guinea, with the operations team mobilized to the site ahead of the first gold production in the fourth quarter of the year, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

First ore has been delivered to the run-of-mine pad, and the mobilization of the mining contractor fleet is nearing completion, the filing said.

Tailing storage facility is almost complete and will soon be ready for ore commissioning at the process plant, while electrical and pre-commissioning activities are advancing in line with commissioning priorities, per the filing.

Shares rose more than 2% in afternoon trade on Monday.
