L3Harris Technologies Inc. has broken ground on the Arkansas Advanced Propulsion Facilities (AAPF), a major expansion at its Camden site. The new campus will cover more than 110 acres and include over 20 buildings, significantly increasing the company's capacity to manufacture solid rocket motors-by as much as six times the current output. Specializing in the production of medium and large rocket motors vital for tactical and air defense missiles, missile defense targets, interceptors, and hypersonic vehicles, the facility represents a more than $400 million investment, with $193 million earmarked for Arkansas businesses. This expansion aims to strengthen the U.S. defense industrial base and support both national and allied defense needs.
