T1 Energy Inc. is advancing its expansion plans with the upcoming construction of the first phase of its G2_Austin solar cell facility. The new phase, expected to begin before the end of the year, will have a production capacity of 2.1 GW and is projected to start producing solar cells in the fourth quarter of 2026. The project is estimated to cost between $400 and $425 million and will employ about 1,700 workers. This move follows recent equity capital raises by T1 Energy and supports the company's strategy to strengthen domestic solar supply chains and American energy dominance.
