Shares of WeRide jumped in premarket trading after the company reported higher profit and revenue in the third quarter.
Ahead of the morning bell, the company's American depositary receipts traded 9.9% higher at $7.91.
The China-based autonomous-driving-technology company on Monday reported revenue of 171 million Chinese yuan ($24.1 million), up from CNY70 million a year earlier. The growth was largely due to continued global fleet expansion and increasing service penetration, the company said.
Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Li credited the company's diversified portfolio across products, services, and geographies that have continued to provide multiple avenues for sustained growth.
Net loss was CNY307.3 million, compared with a CNY1.04 billion loss a year earlier. On a per-share basis, this was a loss of CNY0.34, compared with a loss of CNY4.93 in the same period of 2024.
