AST SpaceMobile Inc. has announced a major expansion of its manufacturing operations, adding new sites in Texas and Florida as it accelerates production of its next-generation BlueBird satellites. The company has increased its U.S. workforce by over 100% in the past six months and now employs more than 1,800 professionals, primarily at its West Texas headquarters. The expansion brings AST SpaceMobile's manufacturing footprint to 500,000 square feet, with five facilities in Texas and a new location in Homestead, Florida, boosting production capacity. The company remains 95% vertically integrated and continues to invest heavily in U.S.-based innovation and job creation, working alongside strategic partners such as AT&T, Verizon, American Tower, and Google to build its global space-based cellular broadband network.
