Seven West Media Secures ACMA Approval for Acquisition by Southern Cross

Seven West Media (ASX:SWM) has received formal approval from the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) for its proposed acquisition by Southern Cross Media (ASX:SXL) through a scheme of arrangement, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

This approval fulfills the ACMA condition precedent outlined in the scheme implementation deed dated Sept. 30, completing all required regulatory approvals, per the filing.

The scheme meeting is scheduled for Dec. 22, the filing added.
