Ryanair (RYAAY) said Friday it will end its eight-month-old premium subscription service, effective immediately.
The company said the Prime membership was not profitable, costing the company 6 million euros ($6.9 million) in reduced fares while generating only 4.4 million euros in subscription revenue, the Irish public broadcaster RTE reported on its website.
All 55,000 current members will have access to the lower fares until October 2026, but no new members will be accepted, the company said.
