Rocket Lab Corporation has announced the launch window for the first of two dedicated Electron launches contracted with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). The mission, named "RAISE And Shine," is scheduled to launch from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand beginning December 5, 2025 UTC. This mission will deploy JAXA's RAISE-4 spacecraft, which will demonstrate eight technologies developed by Japanese private companies, universities, and research institutions. The contract is part of JAXA's Innovative Satellite Technology Demonstration Program. A second dedicated Electron launch for JAXA under this program is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. These missions represent the first direct Electron launch contracts between Rocket Lab and JAXA.
