Nubank (NU) said Wednesday it plans to obtain a banking license in Brazil.

The company said the addition of a banking institution within the conglomerate will not change its name or visual identity, nor impact its 110 million customers in Brazil.

The move will also not add to the company's capital or liquidity requirements, the company said.
